Overview

It is the main regional competition for teams from the states of Brazil western central region.
It is also known as Copa Brasil Central.
The preliminary phase is divided into Taça Cerrado, played by teams from Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Rondonia, and Taça Pantanal, played by teams from Distrito Federal and Goias.
Since 2019, due to the discontinuation of Liga Norte, teams from Amazonas were included into Taça Pantanal.
