Overview
It is a rugby sevens competition for the twelve Gallagher Premiership teams that will play the following season.
From 2014 to 2017 it had been expanded to include the four welsh regions that play in the PRO 12.
Unlike the other rugby 7s tournaments, the bonus point system is used in the group phase.
