Overview

The World Games are an international multi-sport event, meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, that are not contested in the Olympic Games.
Rugby 7s was introduced in the World Games since the 2001 edition in Akita.
The 2013 edition in Cali was, of course, the last to feature rugby 7s that became a full Olympic event in 2016.
